Aspirus Wausau Hospital STAR (Student Talent Art Review)
Our volunteer’s aesthetics committee selects the winners,,
First, Second and Third place receive scholarships, and the rest are honorable mentions. All art is framed – paid for by the volunteers and hung here for the next year in a public hallway for staff, visitors, and patients to enjoy. For 2023, four schools submitted entries, with winners from Wausau West and Wausau East high school.

GETTING BACK TO NORMAL: Aspirus Volunteers & Guest Services of Wausau have brought back the COOKIE sale to the public. Here Ken & Jan Molaska and Paul Dobbratz show off their great cookie baking skills.
Friends of Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua participated in Employee Appreciation Day by baking, packaging and delivering over 45 dozen bars and cookies to Vernon Memorial Healthcare and Gundersen Health System-Viroqua staff on Friday, March 3rd.
Aspirus - Wausau's volunteer Michelle Schaefer helps out in Pet Therapy with her sweet dog Scout. They visit clients at the Hospice House. Visits by Scout are such a treat for the Hospice clients!
Aspirus - Wausau has a “comfort cart” that volunteers take around to patient's rooms to offering them free items (playing cards, Sudoku puzzles, crosswords, adult and children coloring books, colored pencils, stress balls, note pads, pens, pencils, prayer shawls and teddy bears) Volunteers at Wausau pay for the items. It gives patients something to do while in the hospital. The picture above is of a husband and wife team that make the rounds with the cart.
