October 7       9:00 AM – 10:30 AM  Virtual Convention

Complete Minutes for the 2019 Partners General Business Meeting

Convention Changes Because of the Pandemic

NOTICE:  MAY 22, 2020

After much discussion and with input from Leigh Ann Larson, our WHA liaison, the Board of Directors of Partners of WHA has voted to cancel the face to face 2020 Partners Convention.  The convention was scheduled to be held on October 6 – 8, 2020 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells. This was a very difficult decision, and was not made lightly.  Our primary concern has been and will always remain, the health, safety and wellbeing of our members and participants.

Although we will not be gathering in person, Partners will be hosting a virtual meeting on October 7, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:30 A.M.  The purpose of this meeting will be to elect officers and approve the 2021 budget. All members can join the virtual meeting but each organization is allowed 2 voting delegates.

The revised convention schedule is as follows:

October 5 - 7,2021 -  Madison - Marriott - Hosting: Southern District Convention Chair, Terri Donlin – Mentor, Pat Freeders

October 4 - 6, 2022 - WI Dells - Chula Vista Resort - Hosting: Western District - Convention Co-chairs, Patsy Pippen & Iva Mulhern

October 3 - 5, 2023 - Stevens Point - Holiday Inn and Convention Center - Hosting: West Central District - Convention Chair, Betty Oddo

In recognition of the financial challenges that our member organizations are facing, Partners of WHA is  waiving the 2020 dues payments.  If you have already submitted payment, please let Julie Steiner (steinerfam@mwt.net) know if you would like the money applied to 2021 or refunded.

The Best of the Best and WAVE awards will also be cancelled for 2020.  For those that have submitted applications, please know they will be included in the 2021 competition.  The deadline for applications has been extended so please continue to submit your nominations to the address listed on the form which can be found on the Partners website.

We know this is a trying time for everyone and hope you understand the seriousness of the COVID-19 virus and the concerns that have caused us to make this decision at this time.

If you have questions, concerns or comments please feel free to contact me by phone 715-581-9304 or email jmolaska@gmail.com

Until we can meet again, stay safe and thank you all for your commitment to Partners of WHA.
