2022 December
The Grant Regional Health Center Auxiliary recently donated six post-mastectomy pillows for patients recovering from breast surgeries to ease comfort during certain activities such as riding in a vehicle or sleeping. Their Radiology department had submitted the request the auxillary was thrilled to present the initial donation to them.

This has now restarted after COVID
The volunteer visits patients rooms with "free items". Suduko, Word Search, Adult coloring books and colored pencils, pens and note pads, playing cards and prayer shawls.

Wausau Aspirus volunteers had Pet Therapy dogs at the Aspirus Farmers Market recently.

Student Talent Art Review - Aspirus Wausau each year sends out a request to local schools for student art. Pictures above are the entries for 2022, which are displayed within the hospital.
2022 June
Aspirus Wausau Hospital has just opened “ a mini gift shop” in their Coffee shop. Their current gift shop is closed for remodeling. This gives staff and visitors a chance to still pick up a card, book, balloon. Etc.
Aspirus Wausau Hospital re-started their EZ Rider service. This cart takes visitors from our Main Entrance to Entrance B, helps people fine their way, and assists those who may need help with transporting around the hospital
Four volunteers came in the first week of June for training.

The Threshold singers of Eau Claire performed in the Atrium of HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital on May 6 honoring staff who worked with Covid patients and the patients who had COVID. Their beautiful music could be heard throughout the Hospital

Volunteer Recognition Luncheon held for HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, volunteers on Wednesday April 27, 2022. The theme was "We need S'More Volunteers Like You" and volunteers were encouraged to dress in their "camping gear". Volunteers with "milestone years" were given certificates.
School backpacks collected by the Volunteer Department and delivered to schools for children who could not afford a backpack or school supplies.

The valuable activities of volunteers - HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital
Partners of Partners of Crossing Rivers Health recently donated $500 to the Monona Jr. Feeders 4-H Club, which the group used to make no-sew fleece blankets. The completed blankets were donated to the Crossing Rivers Health Emergency Department for pediatric ED patients. Giving a trauma patient a soft blanket helps children relax and eases their fear and pain, while in the ED. One mom called it a “life saver”.

The volunteers at Mercyhealth, Janesville , filled Valentine baskets with treats for the nursing stations and a few other locations at the Janesville and Walworth facilities.
